Eagles Around the South West

Hello Folks,

After getting in touch with a couple of people i thought I would see who else is around the South West Uk ?

Im based in Cheltenham, I regularly get down to Bristol and sorrounding areas. Is there anyone else nearby ? Winter is coming soon and it would be good to meet some other [people to organise some skiing with. Ive just got my season pass for Chamonix so will be there quite a lot.

Cheers

Dave

I am just north of Monmouth, frequently climb in the Wye Valley and MTB in the Forest of Dean.

Feel free to contact me if these are of interest. In preparation for the ski season, long walks in the Brecons are called for.

Hi Dave

We're in Bristol - Anne and I just joined ESC after years of dithering, specifically to register for the Grimentz touring training on 7 March 2015, but we're keen skiers and I ride MTB anywhere I'm invited or organise round here.

Eagles in the Bristol area might be interested in the Alpine Club's winter lecture programme.  We usually meet about 6.30 for a drink and its a good place for Eagles to meet (even if you arent an AC member).  The next one is:

Tuesday 21 October 2014. Tony Westcott & Chris Storie: "Zanskar 2013 Expedition - Exploring unclimbed peaks in the Pensilungpa Valley"This four-man expedition, led by Derek Buckle, also included our good friend, the late Mike Pinney. In memory of Mike, there will be a collection for the Ogwen Mountain Rescue team.

SOUTH WEST VENUE: Upper Room of the Nova Scotia, Cumberland Basin, Hotwells, Bristol, BS1 6XJ
The Nova Scotia Hotel is a well-know Bristol landmark, situated at the western end of the Floating Harbour, with ample local parking and good beer. Lectures are normally on Tuesdays and start at 7.30pm.
The SW Regional organisers are Tony Westcott, Adele Long and Chris Storie..

sorry venue is the Rose of Denmark, 6 Dowry Square, Hotwells, Bristol BS8 4QL.

Guests welcome.

Sounds good, i'll be there.
