Hi all I’m looking for some advice please. I would like to book some off piste lessons for the Monte Rosa area. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of any local providers/programmes?

8 years ago now but I skied with Boris or ‘Sandro Borini’. Only guide to ever get us in an avalanche though so not sure thats an endorsement?!

This answer is not focused on Monte Rosa area.
UCPA package holidays with instructors and courses focused on
- intro to off-piste
- all-mountain off-piste
- intro to ski touring
- free ride.
Higher lever courses are popular among Swedes.
Pro: excellent price for an all inclusive sport focused holiday, so many options and locations, international, great atmosphere!
Cons: age limit applies, some center has brilliant food but others are a hit or miss, some instructors are brilliant (and share useful feedback) others are a hit or miss (like a guide with basic English but no feedback)
I have been frequenting UCPA for 6yrs, visited 5 locations, did 8 weeks with them. Love it, recommend it. But now I transition to Eagle Ski Club due to 1. more stable community, 2. better fit for my age, 3. keen to take more responsibility of organizing the trip, 4. bit of ski mountaineering.
