Bernese traverse

My friends and I are planning a traverse of the Bernese Alps next  Easter. We hope to travel from Les Diablerets to Munster in eight days. We are a group of intermediate-good off piste skiers, moderately fit and travel at average speed. We have a guide earmarked, but I would be grateful for any comments, particularly regarding whether the distance is over-ambitious for the timescale and also regarding route planning. My understanding is that there is no sensible route that avoids a taxi ride. We are anticipating going via Kandersteg but I would be interested in people's opinions regarding the best way to get to the Hollandia hut from there - as I see it there are two main options:

i) by taxi up the Gasteretal valley to Gastere, skin up to the Mutthorn hut for the night and then head to Fafleralp and up the valley to the Holandia.

ii) by train to Goppenstein then taxi to Blatten/Fafleralp and up to the hut.

I am drawn to the first option but it involves two long uphill stretches. Is the trip up to the Mutthorn worth it or are we better having the extra day in hand for the Oberland?

Thank you in advance for any help
