"Forever chemicals" in outdoor clothing

Reading this morning about the very damaging ‘forever chemicals’ used in firefighting foam and now contaminating ground and water, reminds me of the importance of raising awareness of avoiding these substances when we’re buying outdoor clothing. Many brands are phasing out these nasty chemicals and making their garments PFC/PFA/C-6 free. But, as always, the devil is in the detail and it is worth taking note of research by outside campaigning bodies. There is a good overview here which highlights who is doing what and the brands that, surprisingly in some cases, ought to be doing better!
