I am starting this as there was a discussion about home heating in the general chat WhatsApp group which was rightly closed down.
There is quite a lot to be learnt from skiing practices when it comes to staying warm in our homes.
When we are skinning up keeping warm is rarely a problem, but if we are feeling the cold we don’t try to heat up the mountain.
Many of us live in houses that are far from cutting edge in terms of energy efficiency yet many of us spend thousands of pounds trying to keep these thermal sieves warm when, as on the mountain, what needs to be kept warm are the human bodies within them.
We all have the kit to stay warm in sub-zero temperatures and there is technology that I don’t have but is readily available such as heated clothing and boots which could slash our heating bills.
What do you all think?
