I want to really improve my knowledge and understanding of weather in the mountains, and am looking for a layman’s guide to meteorology - but with emphasis or at least some coverage as to how this applies in a mountain environment. I have a dog-eared pamphlet “Mountain weather for climbers” dated 1977, but I’m looking for something more than that (and more recent!)
Any ideas, please?
Mountain Training Association runs a yearly programme of mountain weather workshops with the Met Office. They are all full for 2024 but announce new dates at the start of each year
